Hi guys, I’m David, I’m obsessed with the nightlife in Budapest, but believe me, there’s plenty to do in the daytime in this wonderful city! When I say Budapest, what comes to your mind? For me, Széchenyi Baths, the place where history, culture and relaxation meet in perfect harmony.

Why do I love Széchenyi Spa?

  • The atmosphere.
  • The diversity. Outdoor and indoor pools, saunas, steam baths, massages – everything is there for the perfect recharge.
  • The community experience.

But once you’re there 🙂

  • Relax in the thermal pools and enjoy the benefits of the thermal water.
  • Try the various saunas and steam baths.
  • Get a massage and pamper yourself.
  • Watch the chess games in the outdoor pools.
  • Enjoy the neo-baroque architecture of the spa.
  • Young people should also visit the spa, which hosts the famous Spartys in the summer, where the spa is transformed into a huge dance floor.

Some tips for discovering the Széchenyi Baths

  • It’s worth a visit on a weekday, because it’s very crowded on weekends.
  • Bring slippers, towels and a bathing suit.
  • Try the different pools and saunas to find your favourite.
  • The spa also has several buffets and restaurants where you can sample local specialities.
  • The spa is easily accessible by public transport, take metro line 1 to Széchenyi Bad stop (my favourite metro)

Széchenyi Bath is a must-see for anyone visiting Budapest. It is one of the city’s iconic landmarks and offers a true Budapest experience.

Don’t miss it 🙂
